A Local Story, Still Growing

Jeffrey's Café Group began with a simple love for baking and a desire to serve the community well. In 1999, Lance Warkentin started selling handmade pastries at the Grande Prairie Farmers' Market. What began as a small local business quickly grew into White Sail Event Catering, Jeffrey's Café, and a family of concepts rooted in food, hospitality, and community.

Today, Jeffrey's Café Group includes Jeffrey's Café, The Scoop by Jeffrey's, and Catering by Jeffrey's. Each concept has its own personality, but they all share the same focus: quality ingredients, warm service, and experiences that feel thoughtful, welcoming, and personal.

From Pastries to Places

Lance Warkentin's journey began at just 20 years old, when his passion for pastry turned into a business at the Grande Prairie Farmers' Market. By 2000, he launched White Sail Event Catering, building a foundation for handcrafted food and memorable service.

Soon after, Jeffrey's Café opened at the Creative Arts Centre, and the 2002 purchase of Gourmade helped shape the next chapter of growth. What started with handmade pastries has grown into a family of Grande Prairie concepts, including two vibrant café locations, The Scoop by Jeffrey's, and Catering by Jeffrey's.

Community Matters

Jeffrey's Café Group is proud to support the people, programs, and organizations that make Grande Prairie a strong and vibrant place to live. From local schools and charities to sports teams, arts programs, food drives, and community initiatives, giving back has always been part of who we are.
